Missional Communities

What is a Missional Community

A Missional Community is more than just a small group – it’s a gathering of people committed to living on mission together. Rooted in the belief that church extends beyond Sunday, Missional Communities focus on building deep relationships, serving others, and sharing the love of Jesus in everyday life. Through intentional discipleship, prayer, and outreach, these communities aim to bring transformation not only to their members but also to the neighborhoods and workplaces they engage with. It's a place where faith is lived out in tangible ways, making a lasting impact on both the community and the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Missional Community look like?

Missional Communities (MCs) are less about what you do and more about who you are with. It can look like a bible study, having dinner with a group of friends, or even playing golf. Groups can be formed using common interests, life stages, or personal growth goals. Members can share fun activities, life-giving conversations, and prayer requests. We encourage every MC to serve in an outreach every semester.

How often do MCs meet?

Missional Communities meet for three semesters a year—winter/spring, summer, and fall. During the semester, most groups meet once a week. Small groups bring meaning and community to the flow of your life, so even if you can’t attend every meeting, there is still great value in belonging to a group.

Am I qualified to lead a group?

God uses imperfect people to make a difference in the world every day! You don’t need to have it all together to lead an MC – you just have to be willing to let God use you!
