What is Water Baptism?
We believe that water baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example.
Ready to be Baptized?
Your next step of faith! Baptism happens every fourth week of the month. When you are baptized, you are submerged under water to symbolize the death and burial of Jesus and RAISED TO LIFE as a new creation in Christ.
Frequently Asked Questions
Your baptism should have signified you becoming a follower of Jesus, beginning a changed life, and uniting with a new family. If your baptism did not reflect this change of life, then you should be baptized again.
We will baptize anyone over age 7 who understands what baptism symbolizes and wants to make that personal public declaration.
We encourage parents with infants or young children to consider Child Dedication instead. We see this example by Jesus’ parents in Luke chapter 2! At this moment in our service, parents formally dedicate their child back to the Lord and publicly commit to raising him or her in faith; and our church family agrees to show the light of Jesus and show them the ways of the Lord as well.
If you would like to dedicate your child, sign-up here.
