We’re coming together across all campuses to love our city in real, practical ways. Whether you're packing food boxes, pulling weeds, painting, or encouraging neighbors, there’s something for everyone to do.

Why Serve?

Serve the City is a one-day outreach where Hope City Church mobilizes to love people the way Jesus does—through intentional acts of kindness and service. This is what it means to be a church for the city.

You’ll be part of hundreds of people spread across neighborhoods, parks, schools, and shelters—bringing hope, help, and the love of God to those around us.

How to Serve

There’s something for everyone—every age and stage—to be a part of Serve the City. Whether you’re 5 or 95, this is a perfect opportunity to serve as a family and model what it looks like to love people in practical ways.

Serving is simple:
1. Sign up for an outreach that fits your passion.
2. The outreach leader will follow up with details and instructions.
3. Show up on July 12th ready to make a difference!

Lead an Outreach

We have a variety of outreach opportunities already planned, and we’re seeking individuals to lead a team.

If you already have a passion project and a team ready to go, that’s great too—we’re here to support you, resource you, and walk with you every step of the way.

You don’t have to be perfect to lead—just willing. It’s a chance to grow, serve alongside others, and be part of something deeply meaningful and rewarding.

What to Expect

Be at your team’s campus by 7:45 AM and head to your outreach section in the Worship Center to check in, grab your Serve t-shirt, and enjoy a light breakfast.

Here’s the morning timeline:
7:00 AM – Team Leads' arrival
7:15 AM – Check-in opens
7:30 AM – Team Leads' Roll Call
7:45 AM – Outreach Team Roll Call
8:00–8:30 AM – Worship, prayer, and send-off

We’ll gather as one church family for a pre-game rally, featuring worship, prayer, and final instructions, before heading out to serve. If you're unsure where to meet, email outreach@myhopecity.net.

This is where we put our love into action. Whether you’re doing yard work, painting, packing food boxes, or spreading kindness, your service will make a real impact.

Dress and prepare accordingly for your outreach:

  • If you’re serving outside, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring sunblock, bug spray, and plenty of water
  • Bring gloves, tools, and any outreach-specific supplies
  • Your outreach leader will contact you ahead of time with further instructions

Once your outreach is complete, return to your campus by 12:00 PM for an after party where we’ll:

  • Share stories of what God did through you and your team
  • Celebrate together as a church family
  • Enjoy a free lunch as we wrap up an incredible day of serving
